HELP US SPREAD THE WORD
Dear friends,
W.H.O. are we?
We are the kids who years ago were where you are now. We have watched the scene grow, be successful, and now struggle. We have watched bands grow in popularity. Remembering having their demos when we walk through a major record store seeing their shrink wrapped new release on a big budget major label. We are the ones who haven’t forgotten the values that were once taught to us by the veterans of this scene. Bands would stand on stage and preach the news of brotherhood, unity, being there for one another… a sense of belonging. Hardcore was started on those values and gave kids something to identify themselves with. Somewhere something went wrong. Blame it on the almighty dollar sign, blame it on newbreeds, blame it on fashion, blame it on any and everything you can think of… it doesn’t solve anything. We still haven’t forgotten those values, it meant so much back then. And why doesn’t it now?
Now us standing from the stage looking out into the crowd remember ourselves being called, newbreed or newjack. So for those who can definitely share in the feeling of being left out or put down for wanting be a part of something in where people have the same love for the music as you this is where we say WELCOME. Who really cares if you can mosh better than the other or what band shirt your wearing? All that matters is that you're there for the same reason that the other guy is. We don’t care if your posi, straight edge, just go to the shows, just like the music or just getting into it. We accept you for who YOU are not who you know, what your wearing, or what bands you like. You are a person, who happens to like the same music as us, so why should I hate you when we see you at a show? Why should we make fun of you if you mosh differently than us?
To this we say we WILL start a new. A revolution has begun and we are wiping the slates clean. This isn’t a “crew” this is a uniting of an underground. This is call to arms to all who feel left out, cast aside, and those who feel no one understands them. TOGETHER we can achieve so much. With this organization we help as one to raise money to get instruments into the hands of kids, who cant afford them. Right now we are in the process of finding just the right organization to help us accomplish this. Music has influenced, effected and brought so much to our lives and for us united can give back to others. We live out our dreams, we are in bands, we watch bands, we buy cds, we buy merch, we support. Now lets start new dreams, start new bands, influence a new generation to start their dreams, their bands, and support them buy watching them open a show.
